L. Livineius Regulus, 42 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.59 g, 10 h), Rome. Bare head of Livineius Regulus to right. Rev. L•REGVLV[S] Bestiarius standing left, spearing lion leaping right; behind, another man standing right, fighting with sword and shield against a panther leaping left; to upper left, bear sitting right. Babelon (Livineia) 12. Crawford 494/30. RBW 1735. Sydenham 1112. Nicely toned and with an attractive reverse scene. Faint light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
